Setting the Trend

Reaching a peak of performance, BELT sets the wrought iron trend in Colombia, managing over 50 simultaneous projects and employing more than 200 people. They also diversify their catalog with specialized lines like Tivoli, Urbe, and Antique Luminaires.

Weathering the Storm

The real estate and construction markets crash, threatening the company with a severe economic crisis. Despite these financial challenges and the end of an alliance with the Pacific Design Center, BELT undertakes a major restoration of the National Capitol in Bogotá.

The Birth of BELT

Returning to Colombia, the couple merges their architectural passion with art to officially found the BELT Colombia. Their very first creation, the “Planofacil” vertical plan chest, revolutionizes blueprint storage.

Foundations and Innovation

A year of foundational milestones sees the birth of their first daughter, Valentina, and the establishment of BELT’s first manufacturing plant for production autonomy. The company also wins an Innovation award at the ExpoDesign Fair for their “Planofacil” product.

Commercial Breakthrough

The young business gains major financial traction by securing a significant negotiation with the Caño Limón Coveñas Road Concession, which purchases ten units of their innovative plan chests.
