Patina
Patinas are living finishes that naturally evolve over time in response to use, light, and environmental factors. Lacquered patinas, however, halt the natural patina process to prevent its aging.
Finished Made by Hand
All work performed by BELT is crafted by hand by skilled artisans; therefore, there may be subtle changes in the character, look and feel on finish of the final pieces. Thus, slight color or grain differences do not constitute grounds for complaint.

Restorability
The level of restorability depends on several factors,
including the type of finish—whether patina, paint,
gilding, plating, chiseling, or photoengraving—along with
the application, usage, shine level, and protection
applied to the surface.
On-site restoration is possible but may involve minor compromises. These finishes can be renewed without full refinishing, although additional labor may be needed for optimal results. Spot touchups are an option.
